CALABRIA. Tarentum. Circa 280-272 BC. Drachm (Silver, 16 mm, 3.23 g, 3 h), Sos... and Dio..., magistrates. Head of Athena to left, wearing crested Attic helmet decorated with Skylla on the bowl. Rev. Owl standing right, head facing, on thunderbolt; below, ΔΙΟ; to right, ΣΩΣ. HN Italy 1018. Vlasto 1077-83. Well struck and lightly toned. Struck on the usual short flan, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
